  • A garden calm in the city — The villa grounds include a garden, sun terrace and garden furniture, and reviewers describe the setting as peaceful after busy days exploring Rome.
  • Breakfast worth getting up for — Reviewers highlight a varied breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, cheese, muffins and a memorable torta della nonna, often enjoyed on the veranda.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Comfort and facilities score lower — The comfort rating of 7.2 and facilities rating of 7.5 are the weakest categories, so this is a service-led property rather than one with extensive or elaborate on-site amenities.
  • Check-in ends at 22:30 — The evening window may be tight for late arrivals, so plan to reach the hotel before 22:30.
  • No pets allowed — Travelling with an animal won't work here; the property is pet-free.
  • Parking is extra — Private parking is available on site, but it costs €20 per day on top of the room rate.

“An outstanding hotel in an excellent location surrounded by beautiful villas. Bologna metro is a five-minute walk away and reaches the Colosseum in four stops; bus 62 is also handy. The rooms were very clean and well decorated, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh orange juice, yogurt, lots of fruit (bananas, apricots, kiwi, peaches and pears), cereal, milk, bread and very tasty cheeses. The torta della nonna — 'grandmother's cake' — was the best pastry we ate in Rome. What impressed us most was the genuine hospitality of the two front-desk women, Luciana and Emi, who went out of their way to keep us happy. They let us stay in the room until 3pm after a midday checkout, were flexible with breakfast times and gave us invaluable advice about Rome. Two bottles of chilled water would appear in our room late at night, a small gesture that reminded us of how our parents would treat us. Thank you for an unforgettable stay — we hope to return soon.”
